The PC Series D/DI Models: A New Generation of Network Power Amplifier Systems Offering Enhanced Flexibility and Scalability by Integrating Powerful Matrix Functionality and Dante Connectivity

In addition to featuring such basic functionality as the high output, quality, and stability expected in Yamaha amplifiers, the PC Series D/DI models are a new kind of power amplifier equipped with the kind of extensive state-of-the-art signal processing that has come to be demanded by professionals in recent years, as well as industry-standard Dante audio network connectivity, and also feature a unique input matrix.

Thanks to this impressive 20 x 8 input matrix, sound from analog or Dante inputs can be output via Dante to another amplifier after adjusting using the onboard processors, greatly enhancing flexibility and scalability of the system as it takes on a role beyond that of just a simple amplifier.

The PC Series comes with power output options of 1200 W or 600 W and Touring or installed types for a total of four different models to choose from. They are all compatible with ProVisionaire Control/Touch, remote control and monitoring software applications that allow more flexible monitoring and control.

Integration of input matrix function and Dante input/output

Each model in the series is equipped with a powerful 20 x 8 input matrix that achieves superior flexibility and provides a range of options for system expansion. For example, incoming analog sound can be output to a Dante network, so the system can be used as a 4-channel Dante input rack (System example 1). Also, even in a system with no mixer or signal processor, using the matrix function effectively, flexible routing makes it possible to perform audio signal processing with the internal processor (System example 2). Furthermore, ProVisionaire Control/Touch allows flexible control and monitoring even in systems without a console or hardware controller.

Powerful signal processing

The PC Series D/DI models feature a wide array of state-of-the-art technologies such as advanced DSP processing and flexible speaker control options. The amplifier's processors come equipped with extensive and powerful processing capabilities that are effective when used with speakers, such as effective FIR EQ*, 16-band PEQ, crossover, filter, delay, and protection features such as peak limiting and RMS limiting. It is also possible to output equalized sound to other amps by using the input matrix and Dante output as described above.**

Comments from Yamaha Corporation Pro Audio Division General Manager Yoshi Tsugawa

“By combining an impressive input matrix with Dante connectivity, the PC Series D/DI Models enable construction of an extremely flexible and cost-effective system in a manner not achieved with any Yamaha amplifiers before them. Furthermore, incorporating amp management software ProVisionaire Amp Editor, which employs a similar UI to ProVisionaire Control/Touch V3.5—released at the same time—provides a consistent operational experience from system configuration to control and monitoring, contributing to a considerable reduction in the time required to design your system.”
